RA.VCES WINWAR is a native of Sicily. Born in Taormina, she was brought to the United States in her eighth year and has made her home in Manhattan ever since. She studied in the New York Public Schools: later at the College °f the City of New \ ork: finally at Columbia University where she specialized in the Romance languages and literature. She today possesses a working knowledge of seven languages: she translated “The Decameron” for the Limited Kditions Society: she helped to found the Leonardo l)a\ inci Art School: she is the author of three historical novels. In private life she is the wife of Bernard 1). N. Grebanier and the mother of a thirteen year old son.
