Mr. Tompkins in Wonderland

THE professor of theoretical physics at the George Washington University sets forth ‘the new and correct [i.e., post-Einsteinian] concepts of space, time and motion’ in a framework borrowed from Lewis Carroll. It is just the thing to interest a smart inquisitive sixteen-vear-old boy with a turn for natural science and a sense of humor. It should be followed by a compulsory reading of Mark Twain’s Fables for Good Old Boys and Girls.
