(Seraphim 60076). Those long-treasured ten-inch 78’s of In diesen heil’gen Hallen. and O Isis and Osiris are herein revived, along with Schubert’s Erlkönig, Brahm’s Four Serious Songs, and others. There’s an occasional gratuitous held note, and an Italian aria is sung in German, but this is marvelously satisfying singing.
