The Puzzler
WINDOW BOXES
There are nine words belonging in each of the four window panes (NW, NE, SW, and SE); two rows or columns in each pane do not form words and are not clued. Though their exact locations are not given, the words in each pane are clued in order, acrosses and then downs. Every clue’s answer extends at least the full width or height of the pane; some begin and/or end in the shaded frame. In the finished diagram the letters in the frame will identify the contents of some window boxes. Answers include four proper nouns and an alternate spelling at SE 1.
