Andy Smarick

Andy Smarick is the director of civil society, education, and work research at the R Street Institute and the author of Closing America’s High-Achievement Gap. Previously, he was the president of the Maryland state board of education, the deputy commissioner of education in New Jersey, and an aide on the White House Domestic Policy Council.
