Corinne Dufka covered wars in Central America, Bosnia, and Africa as a photojournalist, mostly for Reuters. She was a researcher and advocate with Human Rights Watch in West Africa from 1999 to 2022 and a MacArthur fellow in 2003. She is currently an independent adviser helping countries mitigate the risk of armed conflict.
