Don Baer and Mark Penn

Don Baer is Worldwide Chair and Chief Executive Officer of the strategic communications firm Burson-Marsteller and Chairman of the research firm Penn Schoen Berland. Mark Penn is Corporate Vice President for Strategic and Special Projects at Microsoft. Baer previously served as Senior Executive Vice President for Strategy and Development at Discovery Communications and Director of Strategic Planning and Communications and Chief Speechwriter for President Bill Clinton.

Penn previously was worldwide CEO of Burson-Marsteller and CEO of Penn Schoen Berland, serving as a senior adviser to corporate and political leaders such as Bill Gates, UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and President Bill Clinton. He is the author of the 2007 best-selling book Microtrends: The Small Forces Behind Tomorrow’s Big Changes.
