Toluse Olorunnipa is a staff writer at The Atlantic. He is a co-author of His Name Is George Floyd: One Man’s Life and the Struggle for Racial Justice, which won the 2023 Pulitzer Prize in General Nonfiction and was a finalist for the National Book Award, Los Angeles Times Book Award, and Lukas Prize. Previously, he served as the White House bureau chief at The Washington Post. His coverage of politics, policy, and power during the past four presidencies has garnered numerous awards, including a Peabody Award, a George Polk Award, and the Gerald Ford Prize for Reporting on the Presidency. Olorunnipa started his career at the Miami Herald.
