Skyscraper Canticle

A poem

Bless Thee, O Lord, for the living are of the sky over me this morning.
Bless Thee, O Lord, for the companionship of night mist far above the skyscraper tops I saw when I woke once during the night.
Bless Thee, O Lord, for the miracle of light to my eyes and the involved mystery of it that I do not expect to solve so long as I live.
Bless Thee, O Lord, for the laws Thou hast ordained that hold these tall buildings together and that govern the planet Earth in its course and farther away the cycle of the Sun.
